Occasionally you may need to restart or factory reset your SNOM 710/712 phone, usually following a request from our support team.

Restarting a SNOM handset

  1. turn the phone over and unplug the ethernet cable
  2. wait a moment, and plug the ethernet cable back into the port you removed it from
  3. your phone screen will come on and begin provisioning your handset
  4. leave the phone for 2 to 5 minutes until your normal home screen has reappeared

Factory re-setting a SNOM handset

  1. First start byremoving the network cable from the handset
  2. next hold down the # key on the handset while re-connecting the ethernet cable
  3. keep the # key held down until you see a message on the screen asking you to press 1 to reset
  4. once you have pressed the number 1 key you can let go of the # key and then continue to follow the instructions on the handset
  5. the handset may reboot a few times while it re-provisions but once done any issues should be rectified
