SNOM Phones not powering back on after being unplugged

Modified on Mon, 21 Aug 2023 at 11:49 AM

If you have phones no longer powering on after disconnecting and reconnecting the devices and you have a TP-Link 8 Port PoE switch in the office here are a few steps to get the phones powering on again.

  1. Disconnect all connections from the switch (phone, computers & internet uplink)
  2. Unplug the switch from the power
  3. Connect just the phones back to the switch
  4. Plug the switch back into the power
  5. Once you can see a power light coming back on the phones you can now plug the internet uplink cable back in.
  6. If you are running computers on this network, you can now reconnect your computers back to the switch.

This is a step-by-step guide to getting your phones back online again. This is a fault with older models of TP-Link 8 Port PoE switches.
